Additonal warranties
If you get an add-on warranty (for coverage after the the 4 year factory warranty) is it any better/cheaper to get it earlier than later towards the end of the factory one?

usually cheaper if you get it earlier, some companies won't cover unless you still have coverage on
existing factory warranty.

Earlier, and remember, it's a service contract, not a warranty
Hate to keep harping on this but I will because it's important.
A warranty is a promise to you by the manufacturer.
A service contract is not a warranty, it's an agreement by a 3d party to fix certain things if they break. Diff. in significant ways from a warranty if you have any problems with the contract administrator....

They must not do business in California since it's not on the list of states.
