Default Aftermarket speakers in the REAR

I just put in a new pioneer single din headunit in place of my concert radio.
can anyone point me toward a tutorial of how to wire the back speakers. i want to power the rear speakers with the head unit not the factory rear amp. i can foresee some trouble geting speaker wires inside the rear doors from the dash.

any suggestions

currently i just have the front speakers connected. that was easy compared to the rear.

You might have to do the full nose to tail wiring job, because IIRC the head unit is just the preamp stuff, and the amps are distinct components. I could be wrong here.

i think i might just get some surface mount speakers and put them behind the rear headrests on that "shelf"

wiring will be relatively easy
