Ah, nice sunny day in Boston, driving around with the new TINT!

I kept putting this one off myself, but...
the local AWers arranged a group buy last fall at this place, and I was busy that weekend. However, the installer knows of this forum, and knows that if he did a good job at a good price, the referrals would be streaming in!
He knocked $50 of the normal installation price, which is huge considering that the final bill came to $250 for the high quality 3M carbon-based tint.
I think that Jmacs2.7T and Bi-Turbo Tom are going next week for some tint.

Tails? What tails? I don't see any tails!
I better pull that guy over and give him a ticket! LOL!
Sean, that is one sinister looking car. You should get black wheels and blackout all the chrome. Don't worry, I have enough shiney stuff left on my car for the both of us!

Does your tint film cover the defroster lines?
I noticed on my car's tint that the tint material is cut to fit perfectly in between all the defroster lines of my rear windshield, without covering any of them. I couldn't believe it, becuase it looked like doing that would have been a royal PITA. Does your tint film cover the defroster lines, or did you get them cut around as well? Just curious about what the common practice is.
Can't really tell jack from these, but here's some pics of the tint on my rear windshield. Curious if maybe the very slight "bumps" in the surface from the defroster lines might cause what you're talking about?
BTW - I dig your new sig!!

Re: Tails? What tails? I don't see any tails!
I'm considering a debadge, leaving the rings only; that'll darken up the rear a bit more. I don't want to lose the boot strip, though.
It'll look better with my extra bling wheels. I'm looking into an H&R spring/Bilstein setup now.

The rear is a single piece of film
I'm guessing that the defroster lines are exposed and the film is stretching over them. That little bit of raised film might be causing the optical issue that I'm having, so I agree with you there. I'll try to get a picture of it.
You like that sig, huh? Once you go black... LOL!
