Where did the accident happen? From the sounds of it, you'd better hope the car is totaled; you definitely don't want it back.

Glad that ur OK with moderate injusries only. As others have stated ur airbags are fine. Any pics of
the aftermath - just to see how the passenger compartment held up? LOL with ur next vehicle.

I agree...airbags could have made it worse
There was a post last week from someone whose wife was saved from major injury by airbags in her A6 but they did leave burn and bruises.

I was hit in my B6 A4 in a similar fashion, person was going 60...
And I was pushed into the car in front of me. No airbags. I don't see why they would have though since the front end wasn't a hard hit. Not a ton of deceleration forces.
