Airbag light follow up..
We used the vag to try and clear my airbag light. It cleared for about 2 seconds and then came back on. Here is what the computer pulled up, not sure what this means or what needs to be fixed to get this airbag light to go off? Any ideas??

I had the EXACT same problem...until 2 weeks ago. :)
I stopped by my local dealership and picked up a tube of Stabliant22A. I removed the glovebox (5 bolts) and airbag (6 nuts) and put the Stabilant on both harness connectors. I cleared the code and haven't seen in since.
Before, I had an "intermittent resistance to high' code which devolved into a 'resistance to high' code. I cleared it half a dozen times in a row and it kept popping back up instantly. 3 months later I finally tried the Stabilant, but was expecting to have to buy a new airbag. Stabilant is AWESOME, but pricey at about $30...worth every cent, though.

From the Bentley Manual
* Vag 1551 Printout --00589--
- Passenger's Side Airbag Igniter 1 -N131-
resistance too high
* Possible Cause
- Open circuit in wiring
- Front passenger airbag unit faulty
- Airbag Control Module -J234- faulty
* Corrective Action
- Use wiring diagram to perform troubleshooting
- Replace front passenger airbag unit
- Replace Airbag Control Module -J234-
I would try absolutcq20v's suggestion first.
Good Luck
PS Any chance that you disconnected a cable when installing your NAV Unit?
