Default Alignment : front or all four

just trying to kill my curiosity b/c I had the alignment done on the lexus today.

whats the experience as far as alignment goes. do a6's normally just need front alignment or all 4?

on the lexus, it was just the front. dunno if thats true for all FF or FR cars.

Default I always do 4 wheel alignments, esp awd cars. my solid axel cars get thrust alignments

only becaus the rear is non-adjustable so they set the front to the same line, ie if the rear is 2 degrees to the right the front is adjusted 2 degrees right so you are actually crabbing slightly but it makes the car drive straight and not wear tires as badly.

Front wheel drive cars should get a 4 wheel if the rear is adjustable or thrust if the rear is a non-independant setup.
