There's nothing wrong with Angel Eyes
as long as they're on a BMW where they belong. Same as an Audi gaping mouth (new style) grill doesn't belong on a Mercedes, and the 3 pointed star doesn't belong on a Volvo, and the horrible BMW rear ends don't belong on any car (including BMW's).
I don't see the fascination with Angel eyes. I had a BMW with them on, I didn't think anything at all of them when I had it. Nothing special at all, just a signature BMW look.

I found it in my documents, but it took FOREVER. I don't feel like going through that again
to upload it. Anyways, it was a pre-facelift Racing green 2.7 with graphite rims.
