Default Not worth it after 18 years of sweat and blood investment. Plus it's hard to sell them...

...when they're older. :-)

Default Don't get him a horse -please don't!

Let him use public transport until he can buy his own car.

Default better not take his license and let him drive only with supervision, before he can hurt himself or

someone!!!

Default Perhaps harsh to some, but effective - I'd drop him from your insurance

I had to buy, maintain and insure my own car under my own policy. This is a bit harsh IMO, but very effective. I would alter this slightly for my kids (if I have any) to allow them under my policy until they have an accident.

Once they've had an accident, they're dropped from my policy and have to get their own. After seeing how it will take 100% of their take home pay from the local sandwich shop to pay for it, I imagine they would smarten up quite a bit. And if they can't afford insurance, then no driving. Any complaints would be met with the term "Welcome to the real world. Reality bites."

As you can tell, I don't have much tolerance for irresponsibility.

I would make him use Public Trans but we live in the "Rural Suburbs"

Default He actually drives slow and deliberate. If he was a wild man behind the wheel I bust him in second

He's actually just a bad driver. No sense of situation processing.
