only use G12 coolant in these cars. I've have seen REALLY nasty stuff happen using anything other than authorized VW/Audi G12 coolant.
You can order coolant online:
G12 Plus -- Antifreeze, Purple in color, (1.5 liters) ES#4330<ul><li><a href="http://www.ecstuning.com/stage/edpd/pagebuild_v2.cgi?searchstring=g12&searchqt=byv ehicle&make=Audi&model=C5+A6&submodel= Quattro&engine=V6+30v">Link for ECS Tuning G12 coolant</a></li></ul>

Been away so I have not started yet. Have not even decided what to do for sure. The foam issue is decreasing, I turned the fan full bore then switched between recirc and not a few times, it blew out big chunks of the stuff. I do notice now that there is increases noise. The foam is not just a seal; it is also a cushion when the flap closes as it does very often. Oh well.

Sorry, did not understand, and is kind of a pain and will be expensive to get fixed.
