I installed new window guides on Saturday. Really a very easy job to do with one caveat. I can't figure out how to get the door locking mechanism back into place while installing the door panel. The hole is so narrow it is next to impossible. Is there some trick I am missing.

sometimes a bit more tricky. It is possibly easier if you wind down the window then guide it from the outer side of the door.

I agree, a PITA, but not impossible. Hopefully, you figured it out by now and your door panel is re-installed.
