Default Any Avant Mods Out There? What did you do to yours

Hey there, well I am back in to the Audi Fold again, my third one, lets see if I can get another 250K on this one, that's my average before get rid of any of my cars (my last Audi 5000CS Avant had 290K whne i sold it)

Anyways, I just purchased an in excellent condition '99/A6. Audi-Avant Q/Triptronic. And, I was wondering about Mods for the Avants. For me it's going to be about the ride first I wanna go obviously bigger on the tires (17inchers), and the suspension (mainly shocks/anti-rollbar and possibly springs). I figure I would deal just a bit with the engine, nothing too serious. Oh, and the muffler, it will need a new one, any suggestions in that area will be appreciative too.

I would like to know are there many A6.Avant owners out there, what have you done to enhance your ride. Thanks for your input.

Default check my pic post, welcome back to Avantland

Not too much out there for engine work but plenty to do for the way the car rides. If money is not too much of an issue, go with coilover suspension work, if not then go with shocks and springs. My car has Eibachs and Koni with 18" rims. Rides nice. Some go with Sway bars too, makes the car more flat in the corners.

If you want to go faster, the #1 mod (and te most costly) is the PES supercharger for 300hp. You can always, for fo intake and exhaust, but the gains are minimal and you have to get one that works. I would suggest a custom cold air intake and a supersprint exhaust designed for the 2.7T engine.

Then, there is an ECU chip, and TIp CHip, the combo is good for a good shifting feel and about 10HP.

There you go, have fun

Default I did the PSK rear sway and it made a very noticable difference in handling..

If I were to do it again, I would likely get the H-Sports though, They're a few MM thicker and have a front sway as well and I've heard they are much better than the PSK.
