Default I am positive that my 2.8 will reach high mileage
It is at 60K right now and it is doing well

Default Also check with 1st gen A6 and 1st gen A4 forums as the 12v V6 has been around a while. Heads redone
to 5 valve configuration in '98.

I have a very short commute, which is just fine with me!

Default Yes: 81K mostly city miles & on my way to 200K
No leaks or drips or burning. Zero problems with the 2.8 30V. I use dino so the drippy issue isn't one. Haven't replaced the timing belt yet.

I bought my 98 new, so just a coupla more payments left to go. Will report back at 200K, unless a Buick bumps me off or that t.b. snaps.

Uhh, you gonna ask this question again tomorrow?
