Default Anybody got a Phatnoise update?

I'm curious how a hard drive survives in the real world.

Yea, it's EXPENSIVE. $800 without install is what I hear.

My friend has a Kenwood Music Keg in his Olds and he hasn't had any problems. About 6 months so far.

Does anyone know how difficult of a hack it would be to have a FireWire "tail" that allows control of a portable MP3 player directly from the head unit? You could plug your MP3 player right in.

Yep. Had a phatbox in my 2002 A6 for almost a year now. LOVE IT.

No skips. No bumps. No problems. Easy to control from the head unit. My A6 was pre-wired for a CD changer in the trunk, the Phatbox fit right into the bay where a changer would go (just velcro'd it down) and plugged right into the cd changer cable. Install cost $1.25 (the cost of the velcro strips) and took all of 5 minutes.

I'm seriously considering a Phatbox for my TT now!
