A freind of mine allowed me to harvest her K40 undetectable radar decter, the one without the display module, from her car befor she sold it. She did not have the installation instructions. Can anybody help???

Get a V1. I've seen the two in action, side by side, and the K40 always loses. At issue is a combination of the directional arrows of the V1 plus the bogey counter. With them, you know what's going on, without them you either slow down when you shouldn't or speed when you shouldn't.

Most dramatic example: a friend with three K40's and I took a ride with the V1 (side by side with one of his K40s). At end of ride, he deactivated _all_ K40s and bought a V1 with three remote display adapters.

There really is no substitute. Anything else is an annoyance.

The K40 is really good at detecting supermarkets and malls, even from a mile away. The V1 knows to ignore those signals (usually X-band). I wouldn't trust a K40 with the '92 Escort I owned a few years back.
