When I bought the A6 back in 10/2002, I found that the rear windows could not be operated from the rear seat unless I fiddled with the window lock switch. I had that replaced in the Spring of '03 and everything was fine.

This past weekend... switch failure again. WTF? Anyone else have this issue or is it just my car? I seriously don't want to put this into the shop for just a switch, so I'll be looking for BTDT repair advice, too.

I had to have my driver window control panel replaced, when the front drain plug clogged, forcing water into the psgr floor area. It fried the window controller and the control panel.

problem is in drivers door switch....mine had to be done twice

Was driving to Red Rocks to see the Pixies (!) and had three friends with me... No one in the back could operate the windows unless I fiddled with the switch...

Usually have two little kids back there in their car seats so had never known that was a problem...

I have a third-party extended warranty, may look into it... may not...
