Default Anyone else having carbon buildup problems?

Every six months now when I go in for a "tuneup," I have to have a de-carboning. Idle really stinks, has almost stalled on me a few times sitting at a light.

Just for the record, I only use name-brand gas (Chevron, Mobil, 76), occasionally run Techron and/or Redline, and have a mix of city and highway driving in So. Cal. This is starting to bug me.

Put some "marvel mystery oil" in the gas. it works great.

Default Contrary to some folks, it's an audiism...

Audi has what 3 TSB's on this? The cold start injectors work just a little too well. It is something that Audi has done (w. Bosch) since the CIS engines. Audi and Bentley advise the use of some expensive german cleaners (sauber/vento sp.), but you can do better yourself with the very same BG44k cleaner ALL the dealers use for $20 usd at any major auto shop.

I use redline cleaner every 4-5 tanks and BG44k once a year. The use of quality gas cuts down dramatically on the deposits.

I was thinking Finman-Granny were synonymous. How fast can you drive with blue tape everywhere? :-)

Default Yes... BG 44k... best stuff on the market. You can order it from GPR / 800 321 5432

I used it in my 100CS and saw positive results. You'll need a funnel to get it into the gas tank, unless you can find the bottle. I think it's like $26/can.

Default Grannies drive like this?!?!?!

Hopefully soon there will be pics of the S6 pinning it at 155 (with me as the photographer also, of course)...gotta pic a weekend to go to Vegas, soon. Can't go 155 unless I'm in the desert...max for the S6 so far is 105-110 or so.

My friends and family have called me "Mario" (...Andretti) for years...perhaps now they should call me "Grandma Mario"...I'll take anyone on...blue tape or no!
