I've been following your saga (congrats by the way)...
and I've got a few questions. You say you've got the sport seats, and I can see the five spoke wheels that came with the sport package in your new sig. But, AFAIK, the sport package was not offered with the 4.2 in MY 2000. Did the pevious owner upgrade, or could your car possibly be a 2001? Also, you mentioned in a previous post it was running 245's, can you be more specific on the tire you've got on those wheels?
On another note, despite what some here may have said when when you first mentioned buing this car, you went about it the right way. You'll enjoy it far more than you would have if it'd become a bone of contention between you and your wife.
