Anyone have after market brake pads?

In the very near future I'm going to have the car worked on to have a sport sway bar installed in the rear and have been thinking about other work I want done while it's up on a lift. I get quite a bit of brake dust on the wheels and have been reading up on after market pads that cut down on the dust. While the dust I get seems somewhat excessive, it appears from reading others comments on this forum that it is about the same as others get. Apparently this is a draw back to the Audi pads. In any case, I'm giving thought to putting on some after market pads to cut down on the dust.
Has anyone else gone with after market pads? Ones that cut down on dust, don't hurt the rotors and provide good braking for all weather conditions? I've read in posts where others brought up the names Ferodo, Raybestos and Mintex but have yet to find a post via the search utility that gives results or comparisons of these pads.
Any and all comments on this subject are welcomed!

on my A4 with much less brake dust and squeeling. I think I got them from German Parts and Restoration (GPR).
You will probably need to call them as I couldn't find the pads on their site.
The Ferodos are actually owned/made by General Mogul.
