Hi folks,

I figured I'm going to be putting on some snow tires on my a6 this year, planning on some trips to eastern washington which will take me over the mountain passes.

Therefore, instead of getting some steelies, was wondering if there are any folks on the forum local who have any rims they no longer need and want to get rid of? Also, if people have recommendations for good snow tires that would be ideal as well!

Hey folks...haven't heard any responses...so I guess I may have to go with the steelies when I go buy some snow tires.

Currently I have Yokahamas 205/55/r16 on stock wheels, so if someone has some advice on decent snow tires that would be appreciated.

Hopefully this isn't verboten to reference another forum but searching any of the classified here or places like vwvortex, passatworld, audizine and quattroworld should get you what you need.

great suggestion. i already looked through the classified here and to be honest didn't want to spend $1000 on a set of used rims and tires, plus shipping to seattle.

i need to be mindful of costs so will give the other forums a shot

i have 2 sets of rims one whit almost new wheels they have like 8k on them, and the other set has like 10% treaed on them

the newer ones i am seling for 550
and the older ones for 250

the problem is i am in CA

Sorry, but after paying for shipping and buy 2 new tires I'd be looking at a cost of $1000 which I can get them brand new from tire rack....sorry, but wasn't looking to spend that much right about now...

I just bought a set set of dunlop winter sport 3d from tire rack. $430 after taxes.i drive to their distribution center and picked them up. I mounted them on my oem 16 wheels.i have a other set of wheels and tires for the summer.
