a less functional 4 post lift are you? Put the ceiling to 14' and get a two post profesionally installed included core drilling the slab and 4000psi concrete. Why do you think you cant use a two post for storage? I know my friends at race shops leave cars on two posts for months at a time while building them. Plus, you have spent less money and it is 1000 times easier to actually work on the car on a two post lift. There are lots of DC area people on this board who would love to take advantage of a workable lift in the area?

Rotary is one of the best manufacturers of lifts around, and has some of the highest standards.

The answer to your question is both yes and no. If you purchase a four-post lift with pneumatic rolling jacks, then you're able to lift the vehicle an extended height over the four-post lift itself. It's a simple procedure. Drive the vehicle on the four-post lift. Raise the lift to the desired height. Position pneumatic rolling jacks under vehicle. Raise vehicle. There you go, your vehicle is raised completely off the four-post lift, allow you to work on the wheels, brakes, suspension, etc. This allows better coverage when working on the sides of the vehicle, as compared to using a twin-post lift where the posts may get in the way. A regular four-post lift without the use of pneumatic rolling jacks will hinder work related to anything related to the wheels and suspension. However, it offers far more stability than a twin-post lift. I would highly recommend purchasing pneumatic rolling jacks if you choose a four-post lift.
