Default Anyone have/had a backlash noise in rear when accelerating or decelerating ?

I don't have this noise in my A4 and it seems to be getting worse in my A6 Avant.

Clunk when you accelerate and decelerate while at a constant speed

Default Yes, a couple times now. Clunk! Not while under much

power and both times at moderate speed, slight acceleration. It has been a little while since it happened. Also noticed that when I park on my inclined driveway I get a similar clunk moving shifter from P to R, mostly annoying. That started a couple of months ago. Its not right and I should take it it but I hate going to the dealer, the last time they had it for over a week to change the secondary water pump. I can only imagine how long they would keep it for a trans problem, probably wouldn't see it till XMAS.

Default Seems most obvious when accelerating after coasting?

sounds like the torque converter locking up or something.

I wonder if its normal for quattro.....
