Anyone here go from a B5 S4 to A6 2.7t?
We need more space. The funny thing is a 01 A6 sells for the same price as a similar 01 S4. It also appears that there are less turbo problems with the 01 A6 2.7t (when compared to the 2000 A6 or any S4). Is this correct? Looking for a loaded w/ sport pkg 2.7t or 4.2 in the DC area.

I went from a B5 S4 to A6 4.2t...
...and the extra space played 50% on my decision making. But if you are considering an A6, I'd say go with the 4.2 instead, with the 't' being optional. Good luck in your decision

Yep. Bunch of old fogies driving the A6 2.7T like a grandma all day long...
...seriously though, there's a little truth to that. Also, the engine compartment in the A6 is also a lot less cramped, leading to less of a heat buildup issue in an A6 than in the S4.
