Anyone run 255/45 R 16s on stock 16x7 (3.0/2.8)?

Thinking specifically about Michelin Pilot Sport A/S, whose spec sheet says min rim width is 7".
Experience with any brand in this size would be appreciated.

The theory is the normal tire profile looks like:
|___| and in the corner it looks like \___\
But the wider tire will look like /___\ and in the corner it actually would reduce the patch size like this: |.__\
So 7" rims sould be fited with max 225 tires. I am sure you can put 255 on them. I am not sure, that you will get any benifits from it.
