ive tried zymol high end waxes, they are so hard to put on , melting them takes so long and makes your hand smell for days, and it seems like it comes off right as soon as you put it on, so i heard pinnacle is made by a guy who left zymol's factory to start his own thing, i hear chuck is just out to make lots of money off people with his 1000% markup, so i have had people tell me pinnacle smells and feels like zymol concours and vintage waxes, they say it even shines like zymol. does it last longer than zymol or is it just the same as zymol but at a realworld price?
looking at vintage for $1500 on zymol's site, and $1100 street price, and you get half of it for $50 in the sampler kits, i figure it costs about $15 to make, and if pinnacle sells it for $80 in a kit, what a deal....?

I know what your talking about. I have an NSX (besides my '99 A6) and have been over his Ct house demoing his "handmade NSX" wax along w/ his developer. Chuck has a red NSX too. Anyway, I think his uppergrade waxes are also too hard and hate the process as I have other things in my life besides waxing my cars. I also think his products don't stand up as long, although they give the best protection for a show or event. Personally I like Griot's Garage's BEST OF SHOW wax for my red NSX. My silver Audi can pretty much improve w/ any wax as silver readily benifits with standard waxes and cleaners. I'd also add that Xymol's CLEANSE HD" product that I use prior to a major waxing gives me the best results and eliminates many swhirls (sp?). Also love Malm's Wax (my nsx is on their website)

They are polishes and give a helluva shine and are e-z to work with. You then should put wax over top for prtection and the best/easiest I've worked with is 3M Perfect-It,paste or liquid. Zaino is mail order and expensive,but again is a polishing system only.3M is national their products are used by shops. Also,3M has a spray Gloss Enhancer for the "in-betweens". Good products. I used them both recently and think the 3M is better for the $$$ spent.

why did you go to his house if you dont like his products, was this recently? i saw pictures on the net of people gathering to clean nxs's but the stuff he has is made for $5 and he is tryint to sell it for 1000% markup over this, i talked to carcare, larry, and he hates the stuff too, he recommneded pinnacle , he confirmed that a zymol partner makes pinnacle, only its much cheaper, he is not trying to rip of everyone who has expensive cars, i hear chuck targeted the german makes because they are the richest people, what a big scam zymol is. i really cant believe it.

This gathering was a few yrs ago or longer. None of us bought the stuff, Chuck is a member of the NE NSX club . We were all invited to attend and were given complementary samples (retailed over $100) for "handmade NSX" waxes. Mind you we were all impressed w/ the stuff when we saw it applied to a hood. We were all appreciative for the freebies but afterwards, most of us felt the stuff takes too long, too hard to apply and doesn't last as long as other waxes. Although I have the stuff in my "wax graveyard" I only consider applying it when its very hot and I want to workout. Otherwise I go for the Griots or Malms. I'd always use the HD-Cleanse pre cleaner and feel that stuff is worth the $15/8oz !
Hey,most of the NSX owners I know in the New Eng area are Microsoft Millionares and the $100-200 a jar is chicken feed. Heck , I sometimes break down and use NuFinish on my Red NSX!
