Default Anyone using Xenon Factory rebased HID bulbs?

I'm looking for the most intensity I can get for my fogs; I live up here in the mountains where it gets so foggy you can't see a damned thing and the dropoff on "the Rim" in spots is 3,000 feet. So I don't much care about the appearance but would love to stash a couple amber bulbs that are 3 times as powerful as my halogens into my fogs. Anyone have any experience with this product, or similar? Hard to believe I could just replace my bulbs with these, when most HID replacements mean adding ballasts and relays, etc...

Default you can edit your post, don't have to add another ...

on the top right of your post screen you should see an "Edit" link.

BTW, that's a 'no' in regards to your post.

Default I was curious enough to look at the website, and-

Even though they are making a bulb conversion designed to fit into a halogen housing, you still have the problem with the optical properties of the lens used for the housing, itself. The optical properties of the glass used to make the lens for an OEM HID housing are very different from those of an OEM halogen housing, because the glass used for the HID housing is designed to work with the color temperature of an HID bulb, not a halogen bulb.
When you mix and match like this, you will get lighting performance problems. It is a better idea to find a pair of OEM HID housings, and swap them into your car, as I and others on this forum have done.

Thanks for the advice; how would I go about finding the OEM HID housings and getting more info on this mod? I STFA'd and couldn't find anything clear about it...
