Default Non OEM ?

Apologies for reviving a thread from the glacial era ... what do NON OEM parts look like? Do they stand out as evidently different from the upholstery? Were any of the parts cited in this thread (bought through Amazon or eBay) non OEM? What was the end result? Were they acceptable?

I was pleasantly surprised with the fit and finish of the armrest lid I bought from ebay several years ago. Still using it, still looks good. Not OEM.

I bought one from Ebay a few years ago. It was produced in China but no issues and a perfect color match. I had seen a Youtube or similar post somewhere that recommended beefing up the hinge "arms" where the pins are located. Apply a layer of epoxy to the arms in a fashion that doesn't interfere with the hinge pins. This seems to be the weak point on the arm rest lid.
