ATTEN!!!!! hp2 caliper owners
i'm having trouble getting straight answers from people at the tire shops about what fits these calipers.
i was hoping that people could post below with what they are running or have tried and fits. that way anyone wanting to upgrade could search and find this "guide"

I have fit the following wheels on a car with HP2 calipers with no spacers...
mostly OEM...
C5 A6 5-spoke 16x7" ET45 offset
C5 A6 twin 6-spoke 16x7" ET45 offset
C5 A6 BBS 17x7.5" ET45 offset
C5 A6 forged 4.2 sport 17x8" ET35 offset
C5 A6 S-line 17x7.5" ET43 offset
B5 S4 Avus wheels 17x7.5" ET45 offset
RS6 9-spoke wheels 18x8.5" ET30 offset
Volk Progressive ME 18x8.5" ET31 offset
I also know that several BBS wheels will fit over HP2 calipers with no spacers. Just go to TireRack.com and look up by vehicle. The matches given for a specific car assumes no spacers.

sending an e-mail to BostonDriver asking if a certain wheel would fit!

What about the 5-spoke RS6 wheels ?
Is there more than one size/offset of the OEM version and which one fit? I just found a set of OEM wheels with size 18x7.5 ET20

I've never tried, but yes, the RS6 "winter" wheel 18x7.5" ET20 will fit over the calipers...
...they wre designed to fit over the HUGE RS6 calipers, which make our HP2s look tiny.

Having owned two cars with these.....
There are a small number of 16" rims that clear them. All are -35mm offset. For example, my snows are on ronal R28s; 16 x 7.5 -35et. My summers are on Audi a6 4.2 16" stockers 16 x 8.0 x -35et. Most 17" x 7.5 or larger fit, up to about 8.5", so long as they too, are -35mm et.
But beware, the shape of the inner spokes has an impact, and there is not specification to capture this. You have to fit them one by one.

Fleabay price on reman 8x8.5" 9-spoke RS6 wheels is pretty good!
