Audax Speaker Install/Upgrade (kinda long)
#24
I'm using the Bose sub amplifier. URL inside
Here's my install. I'm probably losing a little bit of connection to the substrate as I didn't want to epoxy direct to the floor so I improvised with a hunk of wood. The transducer is also 4 Ohms so I am only getting 1/2 the power from the Bose amp as the stock Bose 4 inchers are 4 Ohms ea wired in parallel =2 Ohms impedance(Power is Voltage squared/ Impedance). It's impressive even with 1/2 the power from the subwoofer amp. I may move the transducer to the floor under the driver's seat to see how it does. I got this free when I was with the Audio Amp company as SIT was going to use one of my Class D amp modules so I don't know what they cost.

Nicely done! I'm a big fan of "stealthy" mods. U using any digital media?
We've got Phatnoise players in both our cars. They are sweet. My brother had my car at his shop last for a few days, and commented about the "crazy" CD changer that kept jumping around to different types of music and never seemed to end.
