Audi A6 4.2 more questions with tires and cupping
I have a 2000 A6 4.2 with 103,000 miles on it, I had some Goodyear F1 255/40/18 on the car and after 19,000 miles they are cupping and very loud, I have had them re-balanced and rotated every 5,000 miles, I always make sure the correct air pressure is in the tires. When I looked these tires up and saw the customers reviews, a lot of people had the same problem with these tires on other makes and models cars, and I did see where some people who had different makes and models liked the tires. I had the my car checked for bent wheels and they are all fine, the guy at the tire place (discount tire) said they were worn evenly. I had a complete alignment from the dealer about 20,000 miles ago, my question is would you think it is the shocks or just bad tires, Goodyear is giving me a $500 credit towards new tires. I plan to get the suspension checked just wanted to know your thoughts, I had the control arms replaced at 82,000 miles.
Thanks
Thanks

cupping is usually the result of a failed suspension component, not an alignment issue. Do you have a picture of the uneven treadwear so we can confirm that it is cupping and not some other type of uneven treadwear?

have you had the tires rotated since you had the car aligned? Rotation, balance, shocks, and toe problems are all I can think of, since you've had the bushings replaced.
