Yes, it's happened once or twice. Honda had a big recall for this, along with some other brands.

Audi has issued a recall campaign for this issue.
Contact your local Audi dealers.
I'm in Ontario, I got mine done at no charge. They replaced the throttle heater assembly and changed the PVC valve and related hoses.
