as long as your happy thats all that matters.... and i hear ya on the quattro, driving up to ski in the mountains i see trucks fish tailing all over the place and getting stuck in the snow... i LOVE the looks on their faces when i easily can drive out of the snow

And $336 in parts.
I had to pay a $50 dollar deductible and $33 for environmental disposal fee of coolant and oil.
So it came to a grand total of $671.19 for all the front end components.
Im really happy because of the fact the warranty was not transferable at the time i purchased the car from the previous owner. And my dealer hooked it up, under the previous owner's name so i paid those six bills with a smile on my face =D
I took it for a spin in the snow this evening and it handled real well, it will need a nice wax job this summer badly.

You're happy and you have a dealer to back up the repairs. You got a reasonable deal. A kit is $350-400 and the shop rate (based on my experience three years ago) is 6 hours. At the time my indie charged $75/hr but a dealer over in Detroit was $125/hr at the time. If you don't like indies, then you got a bargain over the dealer rate. Plus plugs, etc are another $200 at the dealer. You ought to consider replacing your transmisson and differential fluids, and your brake fluid, by 100k.
