I am basically restoring a 2000 Audi a6 2.8. I have gotten as far as the headlights and now come to a dilemma. The car I do believe has the Xenon headlights. I do see the xenon boxes on each headlight. My question is Can I replace the whole headlight assembly with non xenon lights? Is it a plug and play type feature or do I have to stick witht the Xenon lights? Thank you for your help in advance.

Why would you do that? If the HID lights work, keep them. You might have to spend a couple hours polishing out the lens covers, but otherwise the HID system is superior.

The xenon light fixtures are not in working condition as a matter of fact they spliced the wires just to make then somewhat work......These lights are in rough shape and I would have to buy 2 new xenon transformers.
