Default Audi Loyalty Cash Incentive Repeat Buyer Program MIS-MANAGED? I'd say so.

Why whould Audi of America create a limited-time $1000 (+) cash incentive program for current Audi owners who buy new Audis (April 2nd-May 31st)...and then NOT GET THE FREAKIN' WORD OUT?!?!?!?!

Posts here have shown that at least one Audi Brand Specialist, as recently as yesterday--two days before the program expires--had no clue. He had to hunt down details himself!

I'd figure most ABS's would be a bit p*ssed they didn't have the word from Audi, and so were unable to call their on-the-fence repeat buyers with the good news that their deal just got better by $1K.

Before this past week, there were few (and mostly sketchy/inaccurate) mentions of the loyalty program on this site, a place one might figure "current Audi owners" would regularly visit. And a place with quite a reserve of Audi loyalty.

It all makes no sense.

Default Actually, it has been around in form or another for at least a year.

Audi has had a program to pay the first lease payment ( up to $1000 ) for a while. Anyone who has a pending AFS lease termination, should have received notice in the mail.

I have posted something to this effect several times in the past.

Default Maybe it's the dealership?

If AoA does not require the dealership to have the customer sign off on the incentive, they get to keep it. They don't tell the sales people and the financial dept quietly takes care of recovering it from AoA.

I don't know that this is happening but in the early days of rebates some dealers would do this.

Default The "Lease Loyalty" Program you describe is a different program.

"Audi Lease Loyalty" (for AFS lease returns) is similar, but different from the repeat buyer purchase deal/incentive ("Audi Loyalty Advantage"), which I don't think has been around for a year. More like a month.

But I could be wrong.

Default I spoke to Audi's Client Relations this morning...

...went to buy my 2.7T this past weekend. I mentioned the loyalty program to my salesman; he had not heard of it. He asked me where I heard about it; I told him that I had seen posts on AudiWorld (he's familiar with the site). He smirked and said, "Do you know the person who posted the info?" I said, "No, but I have no reason to doubt the validity." He basically said, "Well, you can't believe everything you read on the internet."

I called Audi this morning; the program is legit. $1000 bonus to apply to cap cost redux on a lease or $1000 sales price redux on a buy. Ownership of any Audi product qualifies you; the deal ends TOMORROW! (5/31/01)

Audi offered to contact my salesman and inform him. He he he...

You are totally correct. Lease Loyalty and Loyalty Advantage are separate.

Default I think this deal is $1,000 rebate or cap cost reduction AND

first payment up to $800 for a total of a possible $1,800 per car. There have been large ads in the Wall St. Journal, among other rags touting a $499 39 month deal on a 2.7t. If the sales managers are not telling potential customers in order to keep the rebate themselves, that's short-sighted to an incredible degree....not that it surprises me of course. :-))

Default Sent a msg. to my dealership too, and here's the response (similar to what's been stated).

"You are absolutely correct regarding Audi of America supporting an Audi loyalty program at this time. In answer to your questions, you do not have to trade in your Audi, it is a recognition program; and it is a national program. Also, the support to dealer is between $1000.- $1500. These deals are on the A6 2.7, A6-4.2 and Allroad.

We also currently have great leasing programs on the A6 line as well, this also includes the A6-2.8. Audi just recently lowered the money factor. This special program is in effect until the end of May and possibly longer. Please respond with your vehicle of interest and other pertinent info so that I may assist you further. Please feel free to contact me by e-mail or phone at XXXX. Thanks for the interest in Audi.

Sincerely,
XXXX
Audi Brand Specialist"
