That shop had no clue what they are doing. They charged me $400 they said the timing is off. So they retimed it and now it's even harder to start. So I have decided the valves are prolly bent. I sent the motor back and got a refund. Then I purchased a motor from a reputable salvage company and I'm putting it in this weekend. Just waiting on a wire harness bc the pulling the plugs on and off so much has destroyed my harness. 129 euro ripped me off, and has no clue what they are doing. I give them an F in knowledge and morals.

But lets give some credit where credit is due, 4D4 did mention a compression check on the engine very early in the post

i know im coming in late, but if you cant handle a compression check, you shouldn't be swapping motors in the first place

take it as a learning experience and move on, get her driving, and enjoy it!

to me it sounded like the engine had bad sensor input somewhere . check them real carefull when putting the engine in.
