Audi Recall re: front bumper

I just received a letter from Audi stating that they will reimburse me for any out-of-pocket expenses caused by the rubbing of the front bumper on curbs. Has anyone made their claim yet? If so, did they reimburse the deductible as well as the insurance company? My insurance premium went up a bit because it was determined that I was at fault when I pulled up to close to the curb. When I backed up half the bumper got damaged because it got caught on the curb.

I'm in a similar position - but I didn't go to my insurance, I just paid the $1400 out of pocket (pay now, pay later ... would have cost more in the long run to file a claim).
My dealer said to send the bill to AoA and see if they would reimburse.
If they do ... it's the downpayment for my next car
I would consider that reimbursement the ultimate Loyalty program.

I actually made a 3/14 appt with my dealer yesterday. My situation is that my bumper is currently damaged from a curb, so I would like to have the entire recall cover the replacement of the bumper cover. The dealer scheduled me and said they will evaluate the car. I guess they just need to ensure that it's not accident damage and is indeed the result of a curb. I had actually taken the car in to have them fix it under warranty when it happended last year, but they said it was not covered. Now let's see what happens in 2 weeks!
If anyone actually gets their claims (current or past) covered by Audi please let us all know.
TIA,
DJ
