Ultra, this is not directed at you personally. I have a feeling we are going to endure this for the
next year while Audi meanders over to N.A. with the RS6. I only have two things to say:
1. It seems that a majority of the automotive press has been bowled over by the RS6. My guess is that the general RS6 buying public will be knocked unconscious.
2. It was not so long ago that comparing an awd car to a rwd car was pointless (or was considered to be pointless). Primarily because they serve two divergent engineering philosophies.
I am not inferring that comparisons should not be made. They are interesting and sometimes informative. I sometimes enjoy the inevitable debates about vehicular supremacy.
What am I saying then? Oh hell I have no idea damnit. I gotta go :-)

If cars are going to cross the 500 HP level, then AWD takes on an entirely new meaning.
The average (filthy rich) Joe/Jane cannot put 500 HP to the ground reliably -- particularly if it's wet. Traction control helps, but only by slowing progress. AWD may be the best way to put 500 HP into the daily driver -- and its surely the only way to get full use of 500 HP in all weather conditions.
Sure, weight balance is less than optimum, and you can't "steer with the throttle" but those distinctions are relevant in 1% of driving situations. (1% figure is made up, but probably way high.)

Very cool, but who does their websites??
In a brief look, I saw 3 or 4 typo/spelling errors on the site. Things like using the word "there" instead of "their" and "quite" for "quiet". Just surprising on a website like this, touting the Audi "supercar". (I'm an incurable proofreader though!)
