Audi service sucks
As mentioned in previous posts, the left side of my hood rattles. The soonest Carlsen Audi can schedule me to have it looked at is Aug. 9th, with no loaner. How suckie is that?

Unfortunately, I think we can all expect to see a lag between the sales and service of Audis...
As the vehicles have quickly become more popular, dealers have not been able to keep up in the service area. It is realistic to assume that it will take a longer period of time for dealers to be willing to make the investment in service facilities, personnel, and equipment necessary to meet the demand. They will want to be conservative and make sure the surge in sales is not just a bubble.

screw Carlsen. Go Anderson Behel
See George DeMeur(sp?), the service manager. Just don't get in a fight about rental cars, he is not yet of the mindset of their new Dealer Manager who is working to make sure rentals are available for all.
Service was great (did my 10k there), as well at Diablo Audi in Concord (5k)
After Carlsen quoted me a MONTH for either of their day or night shifts, plus some bad stuff from a friend with an S4, I'll be avoiding their service department.

another dealer- is it cool?
Can I bring the car to another dealer, i.e. Rector to have them work on this warrantee issue? is it ethical since I did not buy the car from there?
Thanks

service manager
George DeMars. And keep it under your hat a little, eh? Not every customer can go to him so lets keep this our little secret. I've already had two people say "why don't you go next" to me and pass me on to someone else (Wolfgang) to wait for George.

You can use any dealer for service and repairs. What you may find though,
is that the dealer you purchased the car from may provide a loaner car ( especially an Audi ), while those from whom you did not purchase the car from, will not.

Commonwealth better than Newport Beach
I've had less luck with Newport Beach Audi. It seems like since the A4 is the cheapest car they sell (vs. the Bentleys, Porsches, and Rolls) you get the worst service. I had 3 different warranty related problems that they were unable to solve. And when they replaced the ECU they created another rattle.
I took the car to Commonwealth VW in Santa Ana and they fixed all the above issues.
