Default Automatic windows are posessed

My 2.7T is about one month old. Here is how it goes: (this only seems to happen after the car has been out in the sun for a while) I lower the window upon return to my office parking garage to use my key card, and then raise the window back up. The window automatically (without me doing anything) lowers back down about one quarter of the way open. I close it again, it goes back down. This goes on several times, until I am finally able to get the window to stay up. Has anyone else experienced this?

Have you checked for any TSB's on the matter?

Sorry for the ignorance, but what is a "TSB"?

Default This is just a WAG but here goes....

My guess is that something is binding on the window mechanism or in the track causing it to "think" there is something in the way which would stop or reverse the window.

Default or...

The limit switch on the window is out of adjustment. In other words, when the window hits the closed position it should stay there and not "think" something is in the way. If the limit switch is out of adjustment, when the window gets to the closed position it would stop or come back down because it thinks something is in the way.

Default Re: or...

Thanks. Sounds like a trip to the dealer is needed. I just wanted to see if there was a quick fix, or if I was missing something.

Agreed... If it's either one of those the service department will have to fix it.
