Baby Seat on a 2.8 A6

Hey guys cant figure out how to attach a baby seat
on a 2.8 A6...there are no lap belts just shoulder belts. And there does not seem to be a place to attach the hooks.....pics would help...

you can buy a seat that can make use of the 3 point belt. Personally, I do both and bought Recaro START child seats. Built like the proverbial brick sh*thouse.

i asked my dealer parts dept and i might as well have asked them about some mercedes clutch system parts- they had no freakin clue- on top of which my nearest audi dealer is 200 miles away -blech

you don't use the special latch clips/hooks that are on the baby car seat. You will use the 3-point seat belt to secure it. The instruction book that came with the baby seat should show you how.

You feed the shoulder belt under the tabs right along with the lap belt.
This picture hopefully gives you an idea of what I'm talking about:
If you have a car seat that cannot be attached with a shoulder belt, you need to replace it as it is too old to be safe.
