Definitely going to try. From what I've heard, it's going to be a great event.
If you decide to head out, let me know. I might take the scenic route through death valley - fun drive.

Looked for pads on the classifeids, but only saw some porterfields for the rear... Maybe you sold them already, you tease?
I'm thinking of trying out Performance Friction's 01 compound. Have heard it likes to run hot...

Well...
...because I know my 8" wheels filled the wells nicely, but with little room to even fit my hand in above the tire. 8.5" with the Eibach springs just makes me nervous because I might have a rubbing issue.
When I look at your 8" wheels, I see essentially what I had last year. Those front wheels are right out to the edges of your fender.
I guess I'll find out when I mount up the new wheels/tires.

33 is a good one to take up to buttonwillow.
At least then you would get a chance to run it. Then you could take Lockwood Valley Road over to Mil Portero and run the DOwnhill section of CerroNoroeste.

I think a lot dependson the offset...
Here's a few shots of 235 tires on 18x8.5" wheels. As you can see, the width is definitely pushing the limits. I never had any issues with the setup (no rubbing whatsoever), but I wouldn't really want to track the car like this.
The offset is unkown to me - had to run these with H&R adapters, and ultimately returned the wheels because I personally didn't like the fitment (a little too german tuner-esque for me).
Anyhow, figured I'd post these in case they could be at all helpful. Again, I think the offset is key.
