Bad Differencial? Annoying noise near right front wheel.

Can you get just one side fixed? Or is the other one going to go bad soon?

Dealer did mine and I think it was like $180 total. Can get single side done, no problem.

Independent shop should be able to do it for less $. If noise changes when you turn a corner (loading vs unloading one side of the car) this is a sign that it is likely to be a bearing going bad.

Just get the one side done. The other may fail eventually, but there's no savings in doing it now.

As a general rule the sound will change/increase one way turn or the other.

Depends on the bearing load as you corner.

I.e., turn hard left corner/sweeper loads right wheel bearing(s), noisier.

If the noise gets louder in a left hand sweeper and quieter in a right hand sweeper, it is most likely a right side wheel bearing.

Wheel bearing noise I've had can be best described as an unmuffled cessna flying right above me....
