Re: Best Brakes/less dust for A6 2.7T
Try the Porterfield website. I have their pads on my MZ3 and love them.
Very rotor-friendly, good coefficient of friction, wear well, AND DUSTLESS!
Good luck.

Re: Rotors
OK...I'm not a performance expert - I'd just like less dust, with performance equal to (or better than) the stock pads. I'd rather replace only the pads, but I know certain pads have to have certain types of rotors. What about these? Can I just change pads, and have them perofrm well and not destroy the pads or rotors? Are there other pads that would give the same (i.e. less dust) without a need to change rotors? thanks...

MTM Pads are the only aftermarket pads I've found for the 2.7T...
but at $325 for a set of front pads and $275 for a set of rear pads, I've put off making the purchase. I've heard that there is a shortage of pad backings for aftermarket companies to use. I think it was APR that told me if I sent them the pads off of my car, they can have pads made with a cleaner compound. Anyway, if you're interested in the MTM pads, you can find them at the link below.
