Wow, I have been reading posts on this site for so long, but this is my first time posting. Anyways, I have a 2001 A6 2.7t, would any of you agree with me that the 2.7 bi-turbo engine is the best main stream engine audi has ever produced?

Are we talking time relative? I vote for the 75hp 1471cc that come in my '74 Audi Fox. Seriously, my 10V I5 non-turbo went for well over 300k without being taken apart. Slow as hell, yes, but nearly bullet proof. On older forums, you would probably get a fair amount of votes for the turbo I5's (10v and 20v) as they wrote the book for Audi. Then again, the 4.2's have a strong following and the FSI....who the hell knows.

the RS6 biturbo 4.2. The new 2.0T and 1.8T are equally sweet. My dad's chipped 225TT hauls *** for 1791cc and one K04.

I-5 in any variant and the 4.2L V8 in it's various forms would be my choice.
