Best place for replacement painted door molding piece?
My passenger side rear one started peeling up and I was going to fix, but before I could, my daughter went out to the garage and opened the door and cracked it. Interesting....
A forum search turned up way too many door blade posts. I can get from the dealer if nobody has any brilliant ideas.

Dealer parts dept (Clairparts online is one) or salvage operation (e.g., Shokan).
That part often de-laminates from body. I've replaced two...on two different Audis.
Also, they ahve to be painted (but you probably knew that.)

You mean side molding (anybody have a part #). nemesisa6 is referring to door blades.
BrianE,
Did your daughter really crack it or just chip it. You can order from either www.clairparts.com (you'll need to call them) or www.worldimpex.com. Either way you'll need the part number.
VERY unlikely you'll be able to get it painted -- you'll need to do that. Are you in the Boston area? I'm having some door blades and a spoiler painted in Cashmere Grey (the fastest and most radar stealth color BTW) pretty soon. If you're local, I'd be happy to have my body shop paint your trim piece at the same time. Could save you a boatload.
Let me know.

Wow thanks for the offer but I am in Denver...
Sucker completely bent and then cracked when she opened the door so I think it is beyond repair. I should take a pic as I think you would find humor in it. I found a place not too long ago that painted the M5 spoiler for my 540 for $70, perhaps they will take on this small job as well. I should probably have them repaint my door blades while they are at it but they would require some prep and even more cost.

Alright Mr. "Junior Detective" -- you scooped me on that one.
BTW, I got a kick out of that phrase. I find myself doing the same these days. Seems to soften the blow of telling the nOObs (am I still one of those?) to use the search button.
