Best ramps for A6 (oil change etc.)? low clearance is an issue

I used my old big heavy metal ones today but the ramp is too short/steep and it scrapes on the bottom of the bumper. Makes it up but I don't want to use these on the A6 again, I need something that's lower to the ground or has a longer ramp to lift the bumper up before it gets to the top (flat part) of the ramp.
What have you found that works on an A6? Thx,
Jon

Buy a normal ramp and add a peice of wood like this, add two big nails to hold the wood to the ramp. It work pretty well.
-If someone ask what a 540 was doing on a ramp in front of my house... To make a lot story short, my friend's wife pulled the front bumper out in a parking space with the concrete block by parking over it so we were trying to repair everything to do not pay for it. BTW we did an excelent job and you can't notice that the right was totaly unatached to the rest of the car.

My ramps are similar to that, only a bit stouter construction maybe, and the ramps actually come off the flat part, they fit into some grooves on the front of the flat area.
I guess I'd be a little concerned about the wood giving way, and the fact that unlike on my ramps, there is no raised area (lip) on the side of the ramp to help keep you straight.
I've seen some low profile ramps with a very similar angle to what you constructed there, that would be ideal.
Thanks,
Jon

That's just plain stupid! You can see the board is deflecting quite a bit and it's just a few pounds or minutes away from breaking. If you're going to use wood to support around a 1000 lbs like that make sure it 3 or 4 times thicker. That's why ramps are made out of steel. Boards that deflect that much are right about to break. Sorry for the negative comment.

I was trying to be polite, and appreciated the suggestion, but I had the same thoughts... one of the Griot's ramps should do the trick.
