Got to work today and where the CEO's S500 is usually parked is a Z8 (across two spots). I had heard he had ordered one. It's nice, but nowhere near $130K (let alone the street price of north of $200K) worth.

Yes, it probably is who you think, and I'm sure he'd be first in line for a Mercedes roadster (which the Vision SLR is). But the Vision SLR hasn't shipped yet. Apparently there is still a small doubt that Mercedes (McLaren) will ever ship it.

Our last CEO complained after quitting (being ousted) that he didn't have a personal assigned parking spot. He was a whiner anyway. He did own an F40 though, although he never drove it to work. He even lied about owning it in an interview (okay, he was deceptive, he didn't outright lie). Our head of finance at the time had an F40 also and he did drive it to work at least once.
Even our CEO doesn't get his own spot.
If you keyed his car (and got caught), you likely would never work in Silicon Valley again. No joke. I'd leave the country.
His car before last (S500) did get keyed. He never fixed it, as his next S500 (newest style, but the first one in Silicon Valley, so no LED taillights) was already on order.

The owner's son (who manages this particular "store" of the families) drove it once and thought it was too flashy for him. Well after that, the dealership (bean counter somewhere within) decided he should buy it. So it is sitting on the showroom floor until spring when he plans to sell it. They wont let us sit in it even with a chaperone salesman! It is silver on red leather and rather attractive I think. But I would buy the M5 and save the extra $50K. Actually, I would buy the M3 and have more actual "driving" fun ;-)
