Default Boy, too bad Audi doesn't have a version of the clutchless manual (BMW's SMG) for the RS6!!
It sounds like the paddle shifters on the steptronic RS6 will just be decoration, and really serve no purpose unlike the true F1-style clutchless manual of the upcoming M3. Oh well, if they did, it would probably be another $10,000 and you'd hear me bitching about the price yet again...

the only advantage is that you can shift while turning easier

The only advantage is that you can shift faster than any manual, other than an F1 car.

i don't think the tiptronic is faster than a manual is it?? its not the SMG

Audi is going the CVT route instead as it is much more practical for roadcars.

CVT is only rated for 230 lbs. torque - not enough for the RS6 twin-turbo V8!!
