BP/Amaco gas causes CEL, but not Mobil.
So get this. I usually stop at a BP/Amaco because of its convenient location.
I've had the car for a little over 2 months, but I drive 80 miles round trip to work.
I started getting Check Engine Light.
I bought a VAGCOM cable and it reported intermittent oxygen sensor errors.
I stopped at Mobil and half a tank later the light was out.
So I ran Mobil a bunch of tanks and even shell.
No CEL.
I was running late going out on Saturday , and stopped at the convenient BP/Amaco. I started pumping the gas when I remembered...
Sure enough, CEL is back on.
Anyone else have this kinda issue?

Common enough issue across all brands of car. Gas companies use different
additives and varying amounts of them. Usually the hotter the burn, the happier the 02 sensor.
Your 02 sensors may also be marginal if they haven't been replaced in a while.
