Default Brake Pads

It is time to change to my winte set-up. Also I need to replace brake. Would like to get a set of pads for front and rear that do not produce as much dust as OEM's. I have nice chrome summer rims and I hate to have to clean them after every trip no matter how short.

Help with low dust good pads suggestions.

OK OK How do I get the photo inset larger?

Default Funny you should ask that - I was just about to post on the topic of brake pads....

...I just installed Mintex Red Box pads on my car, replacing some Axxis Ultimate pads that were on their last legs. Interesting comparison - the Mintex pads don't have quite as much "bite" as the Axxis, but still more than the stock pads, but the dust factor is HUGELY lower than either of my earlier pad sets.

I'd recommend them without reservation, particularly as an OEM replacement.

http://www.mintex.co.uk/index.html</a

Default Axxis Deluxe

You found the Axxis pads to be dusty? I had always heard from BMW owners that they were very, very low dust. I was considering them as replacement, but wasn't sure if they made a pad for the A6.

Default I had Axxis ULTIMATE, not Deluxe. Dunno the difference, but I do know that...

..the Red Box pads are MUCH less dusty than the Axxis pads. This is PERSONAL experience, not 2nd hand knowledge.

As always, YMMV.
