Default Which brake pads to get?

Hi,

I have a 1999 A6 Quattro (2.8L-30V) and I want to purchase a set of brake pads for the front.
The brake pads on the alloemaudiparts.com website asks the following question: To which chassis range does the vehicle belong?
X070 000 (Front ATE Calipers w/ 288 x 25 Rotors)
or
X070.001 (Front ATE Calipers w/ 288 x 25mm Rotors
w/ Sensors)
Does anyone know what is my chassis range? Do my brakes have the sensor?
Also, any recommendations for good brake pads other than OEM?

Thanks much.

Default MIntex

Mintex are a very good low dusting street pad.
They can be had with or without the sensors. The pad shapes are identical, so it's just as easy to pick up the set with the connectors, then simply cut them off if you don't need them.

Pedal feel is similar to stock, but dusting is much lower. They're quiet, inexpensive, and a good pad.

Email if you have any questions.

Gotta have good rotors too! Just changing pads will not reduce the dust totally.

Default I replaced the rotors at the same time w/ oem. . . .

They have gotten a little quieter after 2k miles or so. But the dust is terrible.

Again, you need good rotors to get rid of the dust - OEM rotors are part of the culprit - try Brembo

Thanks for all the replies to my question. But if I do stay with OEM pads, my question is still what is my chassis range as shown on the alloemaudiparts.com website? Also, does anyone recommend websites to purchase brake pads and rotors?
